Verizon’s HTC One M7 is finally ready for a taste of Lollipop. Nearly three and a half months after its originally planned release, Verizon has finally granted Technical Acceptance for the HTC One M7′s Lollipop update. Mo Versi, VP of Product Management at HTC. shared the good news on Twitter this evening, along with the announcement that the OTA update is scheduled to begin this Thursday.
The update includes all of the under-the-hood improvements that Google baked into Lollipop as well as a few visual and functionality tweaks to the lock screen, notification panel and multi-tasking. On top of that, the One M7 will get a few of the new features that were introduced on the HTC One M9 thanks to HTC’s core app updates through Google Play.
The HTC One M7 is may be two years old, but the Lollipop update and new Sense features will make the phone feel brand new.
Verizon HTC One (M7) Owners! Thank you for your amazing patience. We’ve received TA on L OS, OTA starting on Thursday.
