Now that the Galaxy S6 has been out for a while, speculation about the next Galaxy Note series is starting. And if these rumors are to be believed, the Note 5 is going to be an awesome device. Samsung is testing both a WQHD display and a 4K display, as well as both an Exynos 7422 and 7430 processor, but it’s unknown which will be chosen for the final product.
The cool thing about the processor is that it will combine the CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, and modem all onto one chip. It’s truly going to be an all-in-one chip and should be quite speedy. But we likely won’t see the Exynos 7430 in the Note 5, as it’s still very early in development and is likely just being tested.
The next Galaxy Note Edge, codenamed “Project Zen,” won’t be nearly as high-end if the rumors are to be believed. It will feature a smaller display, around 5.4 to 5.5 inches, with dual curves like the S6 edge. Inside will be a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor, 16GB of storage, a 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, and an 8MP front camera. While not top of the line, it’s still pretty high-end. Will it be that way late this year when the devices are announced? We’ll have to see.
