Need to find your phone? Just Google for it.

Android Device Manager has been able to find your phone for some time now, but Google just made it a whole lot easier. If you simply type “find my phone” into a Google search you will be greeted with a map revealing the location of your device.

Obviously you must be logged in to your Google account for this to work, and as with other methods of finding your phone, it is only accurate to about 50-80 feet, according to Google. That covers the entirety of most homes, so there’s also the option to ring your phone at full volume for five minutes.

If you click on the map you are taken to a proper Android Device Manager screen and the ring button is joined by lock and erase.

The functionality worked perfectly for me in my testing, and making it ever easier to track down my wayward devices is nothing but positive in my book.
