Time for a new Free App of the Week.

Following its launch last week, Google today refreshed its Free App of the Week promo with a new discounted app. This time the free app is Toca Hair Salon 2, which normally costs $2.99. The app has you running your own hair salon and cutting, coloring, and styling the hair of various characters.

Toca Hair Salon 2 is 42MB and requires Android 4.0.3 or higher.

Just like last week’s Free App of the Week, Toca Hair Salon 2 is family-focused and can only be accessed by going through the new Family section of Google Play. Now that we’ve gotten two kid-centric apps in a row, it’s starting to look like this Free App of the Week promo may be meant to help drive awareness of Google Play’s Family section and to give parents and kids some good, premium apps to play with at no charge.
